Abseiling at Melvilles Caves
Great afternoon with the crew from the 2017 Loddon Murray Community Leadership program. Almost 30 adults on 3 abseils in one afternoon! We got through with the excellent help of Richard and Ruben – extra guides up from Melbourne.

Perfect climbing day
We had our first school climbing trip today in perfect weather at Camels Hump Mt Macedon. The climbers did really well all persisting on challenging climbs and getting beyond where they thought they could get to.

Climbing, abseiling and more with Mondo Lounge 2017
After a great walk on Mount Alexander at the end of 2016 we are now scheduling more activities with Mondo Lounge, our local youth space.
The Mondo Lounge youth space runs every Friday afternoon from 4-6pm at Castlemaine Continuing Education on Templeton St during school terms for young people aged 12-25 years. It provides a fun, safe, supervised space to catch up, socialise and meet with friends.
A range of activities, workshops and training opportunities, developed by the Mondo Lounge Youth Committee, are also offered each term as part of the Mondo Lounge program.
Keep an eye on the MASC youth section page for the upcoming 2017 program and sign up early for the climbing and abseiling trips as numbers are limited. We’ll also hope to be doing night walks and campfire cooking; add that to all the other great stuff that happens at Mondo Lounge and it’s well worth hanging out there.
Mirawara is very happy to be partnering with Mondo Lounge — exactly the stuff we want to be doing, and they are a great mob!
